On 1 may, 12:00, Mr. Levan Akhvlediani, Director General of Anaklia Development Consortium and Mr. Lu Kizong, Vice-president of ZPMC signed a memorandum of collaboration.
ZPMC, China’s largest company is going to supply Anaklia port with eRTG –type cranes. This type cranes are going to be used for moving and storing containers in the port grounds. At the first stage, Anaklia Development Consortium plans to purchase 12 cranes. ZPMC came out the winner of an international tender arranged by the Consortium. Along with the Consortium, the tender that lasted for a few months was led by the US SSA Marine, container terminal operator and BergerABAM author of the rational design. Some of the major international, including the European companies had competed in the tender but only three reached the final stage.
ZPMC, one of the world’s major companies produces heavy machinery for hostile terrain, such as the measurement bulk and container cargo shipping, marine machinery etc. The company is the world’s key manufacturer of modern technology and marine machinery.
The Shanghai-based ZPMC listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange owns 60 000 – 10 000t 26 vessels criss-crossing the world ocean.
