The Anaklia Development Consortium (ADC) today was awarded the Dubai Annual Investment Meeting’s highest honor: the Best Investment Project of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding projects that successfully attract sizeable and beneficial foreign direct investment that transform regions through economic growth. The award was accepted by Dimitry Kumsishvili, Georgia’s Minister of Economy & Sustainable Development. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili was also present at the event.
“We are honored to receive this award, which recognizes the Anaklia Deep Sea Port as a global economic driver, growth engine and first-class investment,” said Mamuka Khazaradze, Founder and President of TBC Holding, which co-leads the ADC in partnership with Conti International. “We are looking forward to breaking ground early next year.”

Finalists for the Best Investment Project of the Year were evaluated on the size of investment, scale of job creation, innovation and technology transfer, exports, import substitution, sustainable development, eco-friendliness and local linkages.
