The Anaklia Development Consortium has Obtained Construction Permit

The Technical and Construction Inspection Agency (LEPL) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia granted the Consortium the permit (N201-04; 30.10.2017) to start phase I land and marine Port development and operation works.

 

Also, on the grounds of the Consortium’s Environment Impact Report, the Ministry of Environment and Protection of Natural Resources issued a positive environmental assessment opinion (N77; 27.10.2017).
“The Ministry permits preceded by lengthy arrangements, such as a number of documents all submitted to the Government allow us to start the construction at the due course. All the required documents are now available, so we can kick off the construction in order to host the first vessels in just three years,” Levan Akhvlediani, Director General of the Consortium stated.

 

Development of Anaklia Deep Sea Port is to begin on 20 December 2017.
