On 11 December, a TBC Group delegation led by Mr. Mamuka Khazaradze, the founder of the Group met a China Development Bank (CDB) team headed by Mr. Zhen Zhie, its President to discuss significance of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port Project in the national and regional terms.
Mr. Levan Akhvlediani, Director General of Anaklia Development Consortium briefed the visitors about the details of the Project. In his address, the CDB President spoke about the importance of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port for the Silk Road global scheme due to Georgia’s strategic location on the route.
The CDB President appointed an ad hoc group to work on the Port Project and invited the Anaklia Development Consortium officials to the negotiations in China.
“Collaboration with the China Development Bank and their interest in the Anaklia Project matters a lot for it testifies to the scope and prospects of the Port”, – Mr. Mamuka Khazaradze, the TBC Group founder stated.
